This is a seax knife in the finest grained ingot stainless steel known to the industry. It was heat treated by Rob in Alberta, including cryo.

I ground the blade on this to be very thin and slicey towards the handle, with increasing thickness towards the tip, to make for a very versatile knife with great cutting ability, yet strong enough at the tip to handle a bit more than light use. This is going to be a low maintenance, very nimble and fast knife in the hand, supremely suitable for yard work, brush and trail clearing, light camp duties, food prep and all while being large but easy to carry.

Steel: AEB-L
Hardness: 61 HRC

Stock thickness: 1/8"

Cutting edge: 11 3/8"
Handle: 6"

Geometry: Full height convex
Edge: Approx. 15° per side,
.005" behind the edge at the heel, .02" in the middle, and .05" at the tip

Weight: 14.8 oz

Handle: Black canvas micarta, brass pins

The knife overall is designed with smaller individuals in mind, from its thinness and lightness, to the size of the handle. It is long, but thin, which should make this knife feel very light and fast in the hand, for prolonged use without fatigue.

Also, this is my first knife on which I have etched my maker's mark (finally!). It is a frosted etch that doesn't jump out at you. It is light, but still quite readable, and deep enough that it should last. As I gain practice with the etching machine, I believe my future marks will increase in depth and darkness.
