Up for sale is this modified Imacasa model #975D14
Modifications to this piece include:
~Cutting blade to shape
~Flushing scales to tang
~Dressing and rounding spine
~Extending edge to base of blade
~Convexing/polishing edge
~Convexing/polishing unsharpened false edge
Blade Length: 14"
Handle Length: 6.5"
Balance Point: 3" past the handle
This is a real brute of a compact chopper that brings to mind what would happen if a bolo and a smatchet had a baby! The broad blade yields tremendous chopping power, and the beefy handle gives a secure grip with plenty of comfort. The unsharpened false edge allows for expedient use as a makeshift shovel without interfering with batoning ability. The grind is brought HIGH on this piece, and it shows in performance, cutting nice thin curls off of wood and sinking deep during chopping. A real packable powerhouse for folks who want a big chopper in a small package that can still do food prep and woodworking.
Asking $40 plus shipping, which would be about $7 CONUS.
I accept payment via PayPal, money order, or personal check. If paying by PayPal don't worry about compensating for processing fees--that's on my bill, not yours. Item typically ships same or next business day that payment is received, so if paying by check or money order please allow time for funds to make it to me.
