My latest design, 9-1/4" overall with a 4.5 " blade. This is very similar to my Practical Field model, with a more traditional handle design. Made from .170" cpm3v tool steel with a flat grind and tapered tang, and features my new stonewashed finish, which is smoother and more rust resistant than the bead blasted finish I have been offering in the past. The blade is hand sanded to 400 grit, tumbled with creamic media, etched in ferric to darken, then neutralized and tumbled again for a random finish that is textureless, non-reflective and absorbs minor scuffs and scratches more gracefully than most other finishes.

Specs:
9-1/4" overall, 4-1/2" blade, .170" thick
cpm3v tool steel by Crucible, heat treated by Peter's to 59-60 hrc
Tapered tang, flat grind, rounded back, thumb jimping
Black/forest green G10 scales with forest green spacers/liners
Assembled with West Systems G/Flex epoxy and flared stainless tubing
.080" black Kydex sheath with my QD carry clip which works for multiple carry options including belt, no belt, IWB and boot
Sheath will accept Tek Lok/Molle Loks

SOLD-Price is 230$ plus shipping/insurance, Paypal welcome

Looking great. The one you made me is my go to knife. Someone will be happy with this beauty.

Thanks to both of you guys for your business and for the feedback, I'm glad your knives are treating you well!

Justin, that model is a looker! I really like this design. Great shaping on the handle and the stonewash is sweet!

Thanks again for the feedback, guys. This piece is still availible, I've got something else in the works for Lineman1.

That "stonewashed" finish is very nice looking on a field knife. How do you create it?

The basic process is detailed in the ad, the tumbler is a vibratory type similar to a brass tumbler for reloading except bigger and filled with a ceramic abrasive media.
