I have a lightly used Nick Wheeler Pocket Fixed Blade- as SIMPLE as could be.
It has the Flat Pocket Sheath with the Rare Earth Magnet on one side. The knife has a nice friction fit so the magnet works well to put the knife on metal surfaces.
I sent the knife to Tom Krein to make a Kydex Neck Sheath for it. Its a really nice package.

I have knives like this laying around the shop that I use all the time. Back when I worked on the maintenance crew at the paper mill, I carried one in the side pocket of my Carhartt jeans.
Ground from ~1/8" thick, 1084 barstock that I smack with a texturing die made from heavily rusted/pitted steel blocks (it's basically like mill scale, just a little more texture)
Hardened to 60/61 Rc
This one was hollow ground on a 10" wheel and left with a Gator belt finish... it is VERY thin at the edge
6" OAL
~ 2-1/2" blade X ~ 7/8" wide at widest point
I radius all around the handle so it's comfy to hold, and buff the perimeter to a mirror polish.
The sheath is a small pouch made from thin veg tanned cow hide on the outside and pig skin on the inside. There is a rare earth magnet in-between the layers that holds the blade in place.
I sat on the couch the other night with Angi for about an hour and asked her if she noticed anything odd--- she had no idea I had this in my side pocket the whole time and I damn near forgot myself.
It's as simple as a little knife could be, but IMHO, it's pretty darn handy. I should point out that this is a very simple utilitarian tool, and while I wanted it to be clean, the focus was on the shape, heat-treat, and thin edge--- so I did not spend hours and hours trying to make it as close to perfect as possible like I do on my collector grade knives.
