I'm selling my No Weld Grinder Frame Kit for $390 CAD + shipping , it has less than 5 minutes of run time assembled. I've bought a GIB and am almost done fixing my other grinder so I no longer need this . I'm including upgraded pillow blocks in both 3/4" and 5/8" shaft x2 , a used KMG 3/4" bore 4" drive wheel, used shaft in both 5/8" and 3/4" ( a 5/8" that came with the kit and a 3/4" 1018 keyed shaft + 2 keys), single step pulleys in 5/8" x2 and 3/4" BK28 + BK30. Also over 3 feet of Power Twist Plus V-belt link and a extra stronger tension spring . I assembled it and had problems getting my tracking straight which is why it has less than 5 minutes of run time with a motor. I never got around to squaring it all up to the motor and wheels and it's as is from when I received it for the most part, I tapped the belt side of the tooling arm base with an extra lever to square up the tooling arm . The keyed shafts have some wear to them as does the Drive wheel. It doesn't include the tracking arm knob or tracking adjustment knob which can easily be replaced for less than $20. The 5/8" pillow blocks are new in the box and I spent over $150 on the extra's included .

The description from USAKnifemaker:

This is a kit of the basic frame for the No Weld Grinder. This is NOT all you need. It is the basic metal frame only, you will need several more items to make this into a fully functioning grinder. The kit comes with the metal needed for the following:

  • 1 tool arm for a contact wheel
  • The basic frame which includes base tube, uprights, tracking arm and tracking adjustment block
  • 2ea 5/8" pillow block bearings
  • 1ea drive shaft with key way slots milled on both end for key
  • 1ea adjustable tool rest with 1 small tool table
  • 4ea 4 bump knobs for tool rest and tool arm positioning
  • bolts, nuts, washers, lock washers to assemble basic frame (it comes un-assembled for shipping)
  • an assembly instruction manual with clear pictures and assembly instructions
  • 2ea 1/2" diameter bolts with washers and machinery bushings to mount tracking wheel and contact wheel of your choice (wheels NOT included)
  • spring for tracking arm tension
  • 1ea full set of No Weld Grinder Printed Plans. You can sell this one original set of plans to someone else if you like. (you can NOT sell a copy or copies)
You will need to purchase several more items to make this into a functioning grinder.
You will need to purchase additionally:
1ea Tracking wheel (we sell these - same as found on the KMG by Beaumont Metal Works)
1ea Contact wheel of your choice (we sell these - same as found on the KMG by Beaumont Metal Works. We also sell Poly contact wheels at a lower price.)
2ea pulleys of your choice (we recommend either 3step or 4step pulley set for 3 or 4 speeds)
1ea motor (we do not sell motors)
The features of this frame kit are:
Several points are welded. I understand the plans say no welding but this is a production kit. The design accommodates welding very well and this is an improvement. Multiple 4 bump knobs for tooling and tool rest adjustments are included as is a knurled knob for the tracking adjustment. Tabs are welded to the bottom of the base tube for mounting to your stand or bench. All holes are drilled for you! Assembly of this frame will take 20 minutes with 2 wrenches. Most edges have been cleaned up but as always, be careful about sharp burrs. The assembly manual is exceptionally easy to follow with multiple pictures.

Can you check on shipping to Ontario N0G1S0. I need to think on this one so if you get an immidiate offer don't hold up for me but if not I may be interested in the shipping is not rediculous.
