The knife I have for sale is a Northwoods Madison Barlow in brown sawcut-bone covers. I have used and carried this knife a fair amount. It originally came with a polished blade, but I applied a pretty lazy 1000 grit horizontal satin finish a while back (think I was removing some patina, I don't 100% remember). It has been sharpened by me a couple times and is currently wearing a semi-convex, mirrors polished edge which is extremely sharp. There are some light patina spots on the blade which I tried to capture in pics. The backspring has some very significant patina on it and a couple scratches. There is a very slight amount of side-to-side blade play, but the walk and talk are excellent (snaps shut like a gator!). The pull is probably around a 7 or 8 but is pretty easily manageable thanks to all the leverage you get on the long blade. The blade is slightly off center and there a just a couple very light rub marks that occur if the blade is pushed a little too hard to the side when opening. I have owned this knife for many years and treasure it deeply. I would really like to see this one go to a good home where it will be taken care of and appreciated. This is a knife that I really regret having to let go, but again, other purchases need to be made. This is an amazing knife. Period.
