Sorry it is not what you were expecting. I am not sure what you mean by a flipping issue, it has a strong detent, I never felt the flip out of the blade to be an issue but it does have a bit of lock stick on the release, something I thought would get better with use. If you mean by flipping action that it is tight to close both my other Olamics are tight but with out the lock stick. I never tried to loosen with the pivot to see if it would make a difference and never asked Olamic to make it any smoother. The knife is just the way I received it from Olamic, never saw much use and sat in a drawer. Where would you like to go from here?

Morning. I am not mad at all, but this think is giving my finger a hell of a workout. Needless to say it's not a pleasant experience. I broke it down, cleaned iit relubed and still the same. Yes, lock stick too. I will send off to Olamic as it's franmkly their issue to rectify. Just a pain for me is all.
