For sale is a very fine example of the Al Mar SERE Operator fixed blade with its original Tek-Lok sheath, attachment clip, extender assembly and box. This is the second version, which was produced from 2003 until at least 2007 and made in the United States from S30V stainless steel. The later SERE Operator II (Model SRO-V) was introduced in or before 2010 and featured a blade of VG-10 stainless steel.
The knife measures approximately 10-¼ inches in overall length and weighs about 6 ounces. The 5-inch blade is S30V stainless steel and comes without a sawback. It is marked on one side “AL / MAR” with the Al Mar logo and the ricasso on the same side is marked “Made in U.S.A /S30V” (see photos). Per the Al Mar catalog, the handle and sheath are made of black Prylon™.
The knife and sheath are in very fine new old stock condition (see photos). The knife has its original factory edge, all of its original finish, clear markings and no signs of use, wear or carry that I can find (see photos). The sheath likewise bears no signs of use, carry or wear while the box is in good to excellent condition with a small tear on one corner and modest signs of storage/handling wear (see photos).
