Just picked this up, an Opinel 130th Anniversary Special #8, but I find that it's just to pretty for me to use, it's really a classic item that needs to be in someone's show case or collection so off she goes.

French hornbeam wood handle is decorated in a black pattern that celebrates the company’s history with icons from the brand and the region

It will arrive in it's presentation box with literature about this special release, this one is serial # 07084 for those numerologists out there

This has a black coated blade as well as the locking mech.

Wow, that’s a jazzy handle - lasered on?

It’s inked on I think so no depth to the markings on the wood and the wood is not the usual beech so really nice contrast
