Sold is an original Ka-Bar Next Generation fighting knife in new old stock condition in its original cardboard sleeve with its original sheath and box. The Next Generation model was Ka-Bar's update to the WW II-era USN Mark 2 and USMC fighting/utility knife. It was introduced at the 1996 S.H.O.T. Show and discontinued as of June 2012. The knife is Model No. 02-1221: Partially serrated edge, early bead-blast finish, marked“Ka-Bar / Olean, N.Y.” on one side of the ricasso and “USA” on the other side; Kydex sheath with rubber retention ring made by Blade-Tech Industries and marked “KA-BAR / USA” on the front; includes plastic packaging and 1998 Consumer Catalog.
The knife is in very fine new old stock condition, with its original factory edge, all of its original finish and clear markings (see photos). Neither knives nor sheaths show anysigns of use, wear or carry that I can see (see photos). The box shows modest to slight signs of handling/storage wear (see photos) and has two split seams that don't show up too well in the photos.
