It is pretty much par for the course on custom sprint runs. Huge amount of hand labor goes into making, packing, and shipping from small groups.

i got shipping confirmation and predicted arrival is on this wednesday via priority mail with signature confirm.

I understand that, I suppose I'm used to buying from dealers with items in stock. But when they say "Please allow one week processing" and two and a half weeks later, nothing, I can't help but be a little disappointed.

I understand. I had to wait for my first order of Snody knife and like you, I'm used to buying from dealers as well.
But I just wanna say it will come through. I know waiting is the hard part but when you finally get the knife...man~ you'll be satisfied.
 
Hey got mine today! OH YEAH!!! w/o sheath Mike ships them in a zip soft pouch.. wrapped in bubble wrap.. so I greedily grabbed the packed not realizing the knife barely fits the pouch.. and had pushed the zipper open.. and YES WAS STICKING OUT! So within 10seconds of even having the package, I sliced my palm open a bit! ITS SHARP OH YEA! sweet!

nice little knife for this price from a great maker.. just perhaps a bigger pouch :D or a tip protector for shipping.. otherwise all good, everyone should be getting their knife SOOOOON :D

So it also comes with a lanyard whistle :) nice touch, and feels great in the hand. sharp as hell.. :D thanks Mike. cheers.

got mine today too... my first custom knife.
definitely nice stuff.
i plan to use this one.
i liked the pouch it shipped in too.
i ordered without sheath.
the blade was sharp and seemed to be coated in an oil of some sort.

I think you may be right. I got in on the first day and ordered with a leather sheath.

Looking back at the for exchange thread, Snody posted after 1 hour that about 20 sold, so it be just backlog also.

thats what i am using.

wth, I'm easy.. I'll try that.. it also fits in a JRE bark river 3inch leather belt sheath.. but very tight and makes it so the sheath won't work with a thinner knife afterwards :D

I'd love to see photos of the other sheaths that Mike is offering.. PICS PLEASE :D

EDIT: I like clip type sheaths like that, and the JRE belt sheath.. can be IWB, how I carry small fixed blades...
