Paul Holloway from Norfold VA, has been a part time knifemaker since 1981, but for the last 5-10 years had to take a hiatus due health issues.
He has made folders , fixed blades and some high end survival knives. Not sure when this lock-back was made, my guess from the lovely yellow color on the micarta scales would be 1980's.
This is a larger heavy folder (6.9 ounces) blade is 4-1/4, handle is 5-1/2 (3/8 thick).
Scales are yellow micarta dovetailed with stainless bolsters. Handle has lined thong hole.
Knife features a double thumbstud for left or right hand use.
Stiletto style blade has a unique feature rarely seen on a folder. The first 2-3/4 of top edge is sharpened. Bottom edge is fully sharpened making this a folding double edged knife. Top edge is safely tucked into handle when closed. Blade stamped with #019 on e side and HOLLOWAY, NORFOLK VA on other side.
Condition: Blade has been carefully sharpened, both edges will shave hair from my arm. Blade has some scratches from opening and closing. Bolsters and scales have a few light scratches. Lockup is has a hair of wiggle in the direction of blade opening, but otherwise solid, backspring in strong making it a bit difficult to open with one hand. Comes with a nice black nylon belt sheath.
A unique quality piece from the past.
SOLD shipped CONUS (Paypal or MO)
