Earlier this year I found out that my Golden Retriever I got 6 months after I returned from Iraq needed $5k worth of surgery. Recently sober at the time, I had absolutely no money. I had to start a crowdfunding campaign and ask for money from strangers on the internet. It was one of the most difficult things I have ever done, a total beatdown, and I spent a year in Iraq as a Scout/Sniper. I raised all of the money. None of it came from my friends or family.

Earlier this week I saw a thread where a fellow member simply asked for some prayers for his dog who was recently diagnosed with cancer. He didn't ask for any money or sympathy. I emailed him back and forth a few times and found out that he had recently lost his job. He had started a crowdfunding site to raise money for the possibility of chemotherapy for his dog.

I don't listen to a whole lot of country music, but losing your job and finding out your best friend has cancer seems like it's been written about. I don't have any money to spare myself as I just accepted a job offer today and don't start until the 10th. But what I do have is a bunch of knives that I really couldn't care less about. I bought them for the heck of it.

I am selling all of them in an effort to pay it forward. It doesn't take a good imagination to remember a time when you were down and someone picked you up. Even if this dog does not make it, a few dollars to help pay a bill this month, or food in the fridge, can go a long way to take some stress off of our fellow man. 100 percent of the money generated will go to this fund and our fellow member. Let's show him what we are all about.

[Removed Solicitation]

First up is a lot of Kershaws. A Blackwash Leek and a big Kershaw/Emerson collab with the wave. No boxes with these, but they are all brand new. They might have taken a few hairs off my arm. I am asking $80 for the both of them. More if you can spare it. This isn't a giveaway or a charity, you are paying for both the knife and a good cause. Feel free to email me directly at c.ouhrabka@gmail.com
