Both of these pieces are forged from L6. Both are about 1/8 in thick. Both are tribal handles (leather with epoxy impregnated hemp wrapping with a turkahead knot. Both have a forged mark finish. Both will have a leather belt sheath.

The pedang is OAL 19 3/4 in and a blade of 14 3/4 in. The 'daga' is OAL 10 in and has a blade of 5 3/4 in.

This is sold as a set.

sold Thanks

Very nice...
I was wondering how long it would take for someone to see the value here. I love (and own many) Maylasian pieces. Do you have some good reference books on them showning their many designs? I've several old books with color plates as well as a book on Malay knife fighting. (no idea where I got that one!)

I have a number of books plus a large collection of blades. I also have over 35 years in martial training of that region. I love the pieces... and the culture.

One of book in my collection entitled Traditional Weapons of the Indonesian Archipelago by Albert G. Van Zonneveld has hundreds color photographs. Of course the book is about Indonesian blades but we are share in common cultures with Malay.
