I was gonna finish this for myself but being christmas and all its up for sale...We made the damascus..Its 211 layer damascus forged from 1084 and 15n20..The blade was forged to shape and has been rough ground to shape with a light etch to show the pattern..There is still plenty of meat to change the shape..the blank is still 1/4" thick on the spine and close to 1/8" thick on the edge..The blank has a 5 1/8" long cutting edge measured from tip to the plunge line..Then another inch and a half to the start of the tang..Plenty of room to work with..
Im throwing in a nice block of curly maple that is 2" wide, 1" thick and about 6" long...Also is a piece of wrought iron a nice guard can be made with..Its about 2 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick..
