Found these in a local estate in South Africa ..... an SOE tribute set my Peter Bauchop, a legend and his blades are legendary. No Bauchop collection is complete without likely, some of his last work.

Peter Bauchop custom boxed set SOE 'Escape and Evade' 3 Knife Set #6. Peter is a top maker of cutlery in SA. Peter doesn't make much himself the past few years, but this is indeed by the man himself and signed birth certificate included as proof. Made as part of a very limited run. This is #6 of a set that is a tribute to the WW2 SOE spy organization, and features knives based on the original Fairbairn Sykes, the hideaway thumb dagger, and the spike. All 3 are beautifully made, and the set is new in the wood box with card. Unused, and very collectible. 3 Knives in this set. Peter's work is right up there with Arbuckle and remains scarce and sought after.

Check out the finish on each piece. A tribute to Peter's skills and beautifully made. Price includes shipping via insured courier to USA or EU (Will consider other countries depending on courier reach). Buyer is responsible to ensure compliance with related laws or regulations in his/her home country. Buyer responsible for any customs/clearance costs. Payment is via Paypal only. USD 950 incl insured courier to destination.

Knives are in South Africa but please do have a look at my history/ratings. I am real and a gentleman ;-) Shout if any specific phots are needed. Shipping should be around 10 working days via courier but customs at destination can be unpredictable.FB_IMG_1684669681086.jpgFB_IMG_1684669674197.jpgFB_IMG_1684669689324.jpgFB_IMG_1684669692806.jpgFB_IMG_1684669713210.jpgFB_IMG_1684669721585.jpgFB_IMG_1684669718940.jpg

All 3 knives are in mint , unused, unsharpened condition. I knew the gent who passed away and he was a PITA with his blades .. .not touching anything without nitrile gloves. I follow his approach out of respect for him 9Photo of knife in hand is estate owners.... have wiped and oiled lightly again.. I cannot find any blemishes or marks anywhere on blades. As a collection, I would rate blade condition at 99%+ on all 3. BTW, I never rate 100% because handmade knives always have some imperfections ...... we are all human. Display case do have a few superficial marks (2 small about 1/25 inch wide and about 1/16 inch long) that I tried so show as best I could. The FS tribute has the Bauchop stamp but other two are sterile. I spoke to Peter's son and he said the issue was real estate to blades to mark the very small areas.

More than happy to takemore photos or answer questions.

Have a great day!!

Wait, so were these knives subject to oxygen, as opposed to a nitrogen only "encapsulated" environment? 😛😜🤪😝
