SOLD, funds received, shipped...

Henry Heitler ATS-34 Drop Point hunter, great ironwood:

  • ATS-34 blade measures 4” from front of ironwood “guard” to point… 3” of sharpened cutting edge.
  • Heat treat by Paul Bos.
  • 8.5” OAL.
  • Hand rubbed, brushed, non-shiny finish.
  • Tapered tang construction, from 3/16" stock.
  • New, unused condition.
  • Very quality construction.
  • Very nice quality sheath.
  • Brass handle bolts look good wtih ironwood.
  • Very nice, fine jimping on rear portion of spine for thumb or index finger traction.

I like the way Henry used a big enough piece of excellent ironwood to run the wood all the way down the “guard” area. Very comfortable in-hand, balanced right where your index finger normally sits. Gives you the reach of a 4” blade, but if you choke up and use the choil you get precision control of a 3” blade.

Henry is a member of the Knifemakers Guild, and the Florida Knifemaker's Assoc. Out of Tampa, FL. I bought this directly from Henry at a knife show ~2001.

Offered at $350 => $325 SOLD for $259 shipped and insured, pending funds

i want to add some helpful criticism: bring out the deep rich colors in the ironwood if u can, the knife in these pictures has a kinda dull, barely noticeble ironwood handle (could pass for any wood to the amature buyer, that would be me =] lol), but the handle appears to be perfect just like the blade, nice looking knife
