These little drop points are from stock removal of 3/32 inch 1095 high carbon steel, they are distal tapered to the edge so are very slicey. ( I am a great fan or 1095 which in my opinion slices better than a lot of other steels, holds a great edge and is easily resharpened) They have been heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain structure. Flat ground with a belt finish. The top knife has stabilized and dyed maple scales the bottom is stabilized walnut with black micarta spacers. Both are 6 3/4 inches overall with a 3 inch blade. I forged some texture into the top knive's flats and the bottom knife I left the mill scale on the flats. leather pouch is snug and deep so I placed a lanyard to help get the knives out.
