My dad passed away last year and I inherited his knife collection. My dad loved bladeforums and I would be very happy for one of the forum members to have this knife instead of some dealer or random person off ebay. This was commissioned by my dad in 2005 with Michael and never used. It has been in a display case since purchase. It is one gorgeous knife.
I am really wanting to be done with selling his collection as the entire process has been long and draining and emotional. I started researching and lurking in september because Michael told me to watch out for sharks who would try and take advantage of me. I didn't sell anything until about a month ago because I wanted to learn all I could about his collection. The last thing I wanted to do was sell something I knew nothing about or sell to just anyone. I want someone who appreciates knives as much as he did to get his knives. I am trying to make him proud.
So ... I have reduced the price again- hope to get some closure.
Michael himself looked at the pictures and described it as follows:
“This is my drow dagger model. It has a Devon Thomas stainless damascus blade, Damascus double bolsters and some premium mammoth ivory for the handle. There is a ruby in the thumb stud. It also has a fileworked damascus spine. “
The blade measures 4 1/4” and the whole knife is 9 1/2”
The pictures don’t do it justice it really is a gorgeous knife. Asking $750. I will entertain reasonable offers. Please comment below and then send pm.
