This is the second from a batch of 2 PSF-27 knives.

I’ll call this a hybrid tactical knife. It has some good features if a tactical knife like grippy machined handles, an exposed tang, skeletonized underneath the scales for weight reduction; but it has reasonably thin geometry so it actually cuts well.

Price: $165 PayPal, shipped USPS, in the US.

Specs:

.187” thick, about 4.5” blade, 9.5” overall length, 7.05 oz.

PSF-27 - Austinized at 1875 for 35 minutes, plate quenched, then directly into a “below sub zero” alcohol bath at -175f for 1 hour, 400 temper 2 hrs x 2, 62 hrc.

Edge established with a 200 grit CBN wheel cooled with machining coolant, then a 1000 grit CBN wheel, also with coolant, then stropped with CBN compound. You can easily add a micro bevel or thicken it up if you need a thicker edge. .01” edge prior to sharpening, approximately .02” behind the edge after sharpening.

Blade is hand sanded to 400 grit, then is acid tumbled.

Scales are green linen micarta. They are attached using stainless torx screws and threaded stainless standoffs.

Sheath is a basic, green kydex with good retention. Sheath screw holes are spaced 1.5” for tek-lok compatibility, but not sold with one.

hi, wonderful knife there, i was wondering if it can take a decent amount of abuse when it comes to bushcraft

Sorry, didn’t see your post until now.

I beat on a D2 version with slightly lower edge angle in some random wood in my backyard. Chopped, batoned, tried to featherstick, and carved into wood and pried the edge out.
It cut deep into the wood and wasn’t amazing for featherstick cutting. Chopped about how you would expect for the size of knife. I was able to make a chip that I could feel and see under magnification and a glint of light.
Handle was comfortable.
For this PSF27 version I upped the edge angle slightly and between that and the tougher steel it should hold up real well.
If you want to buy it I could put a convex edge on no problem at whatever angle you’d like.

I’ll send a PM to luethge for first choice, then I’ll let Corey.L know.
Not sure what the etiquette is on this one, but we will go with that.
