Good evening bladeforums. This will be my first posting in the knife maker forums. Quick little intro. I’ve been making knives now for around 3 years. I originally got interested in them because of my work as a biological technician in NW Colorado, where I would perform necropsy’s on hundreds or deer, elk, pronghorn, you name it. This is where I discovered most knives seemed overbuilt to me. This took me down a rabbit hole of seeking information on what made a good cutting knife. I realized quickly there wasn’t very many thinly ground knives available, with sound heat treats to support these thin edges. It also made me start thinking about what makes a good field dressing pattern, as I thought the standard drop point was lacking (more on that later when I post my field dressing pattern).

I started making knives because I wanted to provide thinly ground/well heat treated knives to people at a reasonable cost. So here I am. If anyone is familiar with S Seedy Lot he does my heat treats on my knives and is a constant resource/friend to me. I consider myself to specialize in game processing knives, and gradually will be posting kitchen knives on here as I acquire more experience. In the future I plan to primarily use 14c28n and magnacut. Thanks!

This is a pattern I cut out awhile ago. It has a puukko-ish blade shape, with non puukko handle. It would make a good field dressing knife or paring knife for the kitchen, or just a general all arounder.

The grind is pretty thin (about .01” behind the edge), and I gradually left a little more thickness leading up to the tip. It’s hand sanded to a 400 grit finish. The tang is hollowed with a small wheel. It has a very subtle coke bottle handle shape that is quite comfortable. Other specs below:

.100” 52100 @ 61-62 HRC w/cryo
Blade length: 3.8”
Handle length: 4.25”
Forest Green G10 w/black micarta liners and white g10 pin stripe. Loveless bolts.
Comes with kydex sheath

$150 TYD
