I have made and used this one as a test piece, and through it learned that 1) the design is sound, 2) 15N20 is a great outdoor steel, and 3) 3/32" is a perfectly serviceable thickness even for a medium duty chopper. I have a new Barax in AEB-L for myself, as an R&D piece until my next ones are heat treated. But for now, this one is available to a new home. If you are into 1) martial arts, 2) hiking or cycling (thus trail clearing), or 3) numbered lists, then you will like this knife.

Nimble and fast, this is a fully functional, very comfortable and high performance piece. Hand and a half neutral grip, allows for a comfortable choked up, middle, or rear grip, depending on what you want to do. Anything from carving to chopping, this knife can do it comfortably and well. Even with choked up grip, I can take down inch and a half diameter saplings in a single strike (using good slicing technique, of course). The finish is a bit coarse on this one, but for what it is, I'm crazy as a soup sandwich to let it go for this price. This knife is going to get the job done, over and over and over again for you.

Specs
Steel: 3/32" 15N20, RC ~58-59

Geometry: Full height flat-vex, ~15° primary edge, 20° micro, .040" behind the edge

Overall Length: 21 3/4"
Cutting Edge Length: 15"

Weight: 19.4 oz, 25.2 oz with sheath

Handle: checkered G10, waterproof construction, G10 may be thought of as slick, but I was able to hang onto this for VERY hard swings, in cold weather, both bare handed and with gloves. The bird's beak is roomy enough to not beat up your pink, the scale edges are radiused, and the peaks of the checkering knocked down so that despite its good grip, it's also very comfortable. I can't find a hot spot anywhere... unless I hold it by the blade. ;)

Sheath: Black Boltaron taco sheath, compatible with G-Clips, and large and small Tek Loks.

SOLD

Thanks for looking!

Wait! A chopper that isn’t in 3V and .25” thick? That will never work.

Nice work. Looks like a blade that will do what it’s designed to do without falling to YouTube trends
