Up for sale is a seemingly Rare Dave Beck Knife. I've searched and have not found this model so I asked Mr. Beck for his thoughts.

Thank you for your inquiry. First, I can confirm that the knife was made by me. As for the model, I'd have to say it appears to be an early "Summit" knife pattern or possibly a one-of-kind experimental piece. If it's an early Summit knife the blade thickness would be 3/16" with a length of about 4-1/2" & it should have a tapered tang. Newer versions listed for $320.00. The reason I have to question the exact model is that from the pic it appears the the top of the knife has more of a curve to it where a Summit has a flatter spine. Regardless, the blade would be made from differentially hardened/tempered 01 high carbon steel. The handle is black linen Micarta. The sheath is original, which is also an older style most likely made in early 2000. The holes in the sheath were not original & were mostly added by the original owner. Hope this helps.
