Piranha is made in the USA I believe Idaho. They have been around for quite awhile but don't have a website, only sell to dealers. This knife is rare because it is earlier model probably early 2000s or so. About 120 were made with a tanto blade style. Their excalibur model otfs took inspiration from the desert knife works sand shark for locking and firing mechanics. Instead of the system microtech uses with coil springs and slide bars that unlock the lugs, this model uses flat leaf springs and dual locking lugs that slide under the blade tang when deployed. Much stronger. Modern pirahna excaliburs use a single locking lug. This early model has 2 one on each side of the tang.

I like pirahna excaliburs. They're hard to get info on though.

I've taken apart several excaliburs actually. They are quite simple to take apart and reassemble to clean though complete disassembly is much more difficult as it is a 3 piece assemble to the chassis. I've taken this one down to check, which is how I know it's a duel Lug. It's interesting the progress they made to the design. This one has the screws that show on both sides and double lock lugs then they had intermediate models with the slots for a dual Lug but only 1 Lug and screws that show on both sides. Their newest models are machined only to accept 1 Lug and the screws do not show on the opposite side. So you can actually tell a newer model based on if the screws show on the back. Hard to tell if it's a double Lug unless it's taken apart. This is the only double Lug model I've owned. I think they stopped doing double locks a long time ago.

Here is an example of one I disassembled that is a single locking lug seen on the left. But the machined space to accept a second on the right side even though it's empty.

Awesome, PPFF is fine by me. As for the Strider, it’s also a pretty rare piece relatively speaking. It’s actually a Strider DC from a short run a few years back. Think of it like a stubby performance SNG, with flamed Ti on both scales…
