Hi everyone, I have a modified Boss Jack with black canvas micarta up for grabs. This is 100% a user. No sheath.
The previous owner stripped the coating and installed hex bolts, and coyote brown G10 liners. The coating is still intact under the handle scales and there are some spots around the talon hole and pommel that were missed.
I dyed the micarta handles black and tried dyeing the G10. The micarta worked great, the liners just turned darker brown. The handle with the liners fills the hand really nicely and, in my opinion, makes this much more comfortable than a typical BJ.
Lastly, it got sent to Father and Son Traditional Sharpening who gave it a thinner secondary convex grind with a 20 degree microbevel. All grinding work was done very slowly on a watercooled Tormek system and came out great; the edge is ridiculously sharp.
