That is an excellent design. I had one very similar by another maker and it stayed with a PH after an elk hunt. He wouldn't let it go. This one has all the same nice features. Excellent job there. A real working knife.

The OAL is 7.25" and the cutting edge is 3.375" I meant to put that in the specs and experienced brain fade.

Sounds like you need a replacement. If you're in the Tampa Bay area look me up and check it out in person. Thanks for kind comments

Ralph: I like the design - that's a handsome working knife.

I very much like the design as well.....I'll take it.

Please let me know how you would like to finalize this transaction.

Was also wondering......are these particular scales stabilized or is it not necessary given the density/quality of these premium desert ironwood scales....? Or perhaps.....is it more a discretionary thing among makers...?

Thanks

This knife is SPF. To answer the question about the scales, given the density and oil content of this wood it is necessary to stabilize. I sent an e-mail about paymentUOTE=magnumb;10181194]I very much like the design as well.....I'll take it.

Thanks for the explanation Ralph. Always wondered about the why's and when's of certain woods and stabilization practices.

Got your email and have just responded to it.

Thanks again for making such a nice knife available to our BF members.

Ralph,

Your beautiful skinner arrived today.......it is really very well done! Fits the hand well, is sharp as hell and no doubt will be quite user friendly when the situation allows.......next year, unfortunately.........:(:(.

The sheath is also so very well made and beautiful as well. All in all.....this is a very nice package.................thanks!

Take care and have a great Holiday1
