I was just told by a member that I beat people down on prices and overcharge for my own knives, and the community is talking about it. I want to be clear, when there is an asking price I never try to negotiate a better price, when it comes to "open to trades" then yes, I may try to get a good deal. BUT, I'll take full responsibility and tell most people, some of the knives that members want and are highly sough after I bout on eBay for a premium. I did this because I didn't intend on selling them, and I can pay and charge what I want for my knives. I do not buy knives here and mark them up. I've also told these select people I'm marking it up 10%from what I paid because I didn't want to sell it AND I would provide proof of the amount I paid. As a member said, I'm being called a "bottom feeder" and that hurts. I'm organized and put all my knives in a word doc and when people want to see my collection I send it over - I don;t see an issue with that. I also forewarn in my signature and to the prospective buyer that the knife they are inquiring about will not be cheap because I paid a premium on eBay. Some knives I'll pay more for and that's my business. To think there are whispers about my character in this community is hurtful as I've tried to be an A+community member. If anyone has anything to say to me, please PM me rather than talk behind my back.

Regarding the knife, This knife is one of my favorite custom trappers I own. I've priced it incredibly fair to show my dedication to the community. It immediately caught my eye because of the black and red, and because of the gorgeous steel and work by this knife maker. This knife features Black with Red inlay micarta handles. The blade is a satin finish 154CM stainless, with stainless liners and pins. It measures 4 1/8" closed. Centering is dead on and action is perfect. Asking $SOLD NET via PayPal - please add 3.5% or use friends and family with confidence. Pics below.

This is well under what I paid. I hope to earn the trust of the community members that think I'm here to "bottom feed". I've quite enjoyed Blade Forums and appreciate everyone.

Thanks for looking!

If people talk sh.. about you that just means you are good enough to catch their attention. Mediocrity is rarely criticized because its boring. Never apogize for pursuing your own definitionof excellence. RP

Usually I try to stay out from these kind of discussions but I can feel you are hurt, these are your knives charge whatever you feel it's right for you. In the worst case none will buy them. But no right for bad talking. Sorry for responding here but I just had to.
God bless

+1 on that. They're YOUR knives and you have the right to ask whatever value you personally place on them. Just like that person has the free will to not buy/trade for that knife based on your valuation. I can only assume that whoever ranted to you, was also trying to set up a deal with you and obviously they were trying to work you over to get a deal in their favor. For someone to attack you personally, when it has nothing to do with why they believe the knife is worth more/less on the pure merits of just the knife, is totally out of line. THAT is the real definition of a "bottom feeder"

Tenacious, thank you. I can put up with a lot, but when it comes to my personal integrity and character being questioned, that's the tipping point. I appreciate the kind words and agree with what everyone has said. For the record, I don;t have a spread sheet I send around for malicious purposes. Being organized, I have every knife I own documented and as my signature reads I'm looking to liquidate some of my collection so by putting the knives in a format that people can view makes it simpler for the community. When people suggest that's a scheme it baffles me. The very same people want the most expensive knives in my collection that I admittedly paid $400+ for, so because your a member here, you can't expect me to simply discount the knife $200 to be in good standing with the community.

I'm not sure what this is about but the Exchange is NOT a discussion forum. Read and understand the rules. If you have a gripe, it goes in the Feedback forum. Closed.
