For Sale - Rikon (Shark) - Hand-Forged Knife with Kydex Sheath - Free Shipping
Description - This blade was a result of having some free time between commissions. There were a lot of new things I tried on this blade, notably a different handle shape and a mix of handle materials. After forging the profile, this knife gave me an impression of a shark. I decided to go with that and made some style choices that hopefully accentuate some of the similarities. This knife, along with all of my knives are hand-forged right here in the USA by me. The blade sports Brute de Forge flats and flat saber grinds that are hand-finished. The handle is made from black paper micarta, aluminum spacer, black paper micarta spacer, and stabilized figured maple. The pins are made from stainless steel and carbon fiber.
Specs - Steel = 5160, Heat treated to spec (with a PID Evenheat oven) and Tempered at 375 for 1.5hours x 2, Hardness ~58, OAL = 8.75in, Blade Length = 3.75in, Blade Thickness = 5/32in , Weight = 5.5oz
