SOLD are these two matching knives by Hein Bester. He is a part time maker from South Africa who only makes a small handful of knives every year. They are both his 'medium' size which is similar to a 3" Shamwari or Burger EXK. I am the only owner of both, and they'll both come with his branded box and COA.
SOLD Dreun - This build features dense twist Damasteel blade, collars, and spacer. It is in great shape with perfect centering, solid lockup, and super duper smooth action. Detent is crisp and on the firmer side. Runs on Skiff bearings iirc. A unique feature is a hidden overtravel stop, rarely seen on handmade knives. The titanium is finished by being blasted with the dirt from his farm too. Neato. On this one I flattened the detent ball which gave it the crispness and speedy action, it also gave it a very very slight double clutch that's really only noticeable if you open it slowly. Hard to describe. It hasn't bothered me enough to fix it, but if you'd prefer it to have a normal round ball with no double clutch I can replace it for you. I also zirblasted the scales and clip but it's more or less the exact same as how he finished it. An extremely well made knife. Maker's post
SOLD Mamba - Essentially the same description as the Dreun. This build features Grabak Damasteel instead, and has not been modified or even disassembled. Action is glassy smooth but still breaking in, I expect it'll get speedier with more time or maybe just some oil. Also a fantastic little knife. Maker's post
Table was ~$1150 for each. Asking $850 SOLD for the Dreun, $850 SOLD for the Mamba. Will consider trades, reasonable offers, and bundle discounts.
