This is San mai I forged out a while ago. The core steel is 1095 with 8670 cladding and pure nickel in between.
The handle is stabilized and dyed curly maple. The curl really pops in the right light. It is held in place with pins and g-flex epoxy. It is very comfortable in the hand.
The sheath is 7-8oz hand tooled leather that I dyed black. The pattern is supposed to mimic the curl of the handle a bit. Not sure I pulled it off.
Dimensions
Blade - 3 1/2”
OAL - 8”
Price - sold.
