Recently finished, this set is one of my own semi - custom creations, using high quality factory ground & finished blades. 3/32" thick stock,440C ss ,Rc 57-58 .

Both knives have stabilized, book matched curly maple , from Mark at Burl Source.
Pins are gold ( brass) and the Santoku has 1/8" size & parer has 3/32" size. I peen the pins prior to finishing out the handles, this adds for " holding " strength.

The spines of the knives at the top of the blade & all around the handle have a "slack belt" finish, this adds a slight radius that adds in hand comfort. The handles are not too thick, but not too thin either & will prove comfortable ,especially when doing longer cutting, peeling, chopping of food preparation,in the kitchen or camp, too.

The Santoku is fl;at ground, with satin finish,OAL is 10-7/8" with 6" of edge.
The parer is hollow ground ,satin finish ,OAL is 7" with 3' of edge.

Here's one of my " EDC" knives ready to go. This is a factory ground blade,1/8" 440C ss ,thin hollow ground, satin finish. A compact knife ,but allows a four finger grip. This one has book matched ,vintage rosewood. Two 3/32" nickel pins, peened prior to finishing out. 6.25" OAL,with 2-3/4" of cutting edge.I put a " slack belt" finish on the spine for a comfortable feel in your hand. Right side vertical sheath by Larry Parsons. Larry uses only the finest hand picked ,saddle grade hides. He hand splits his leather, too
