Ok folks,

I'm going to try something different for a while.

"Bark of the Week" we're going to call it. It may last 7 days, it could go on for months. Depending on results.

I'll be listing a new and different Bark River Knife or Bark River derivative every week. This will include AKC, Scagel, Black Jack, and others.

I have developed a keen interest in Mr. Sargent and his Sargent Edged Tools. So I will be selling a bunch of my knives. So I can buy a bunch of his knives.

So with that being said.
***No Trades Please***
Unless of course you would like to offer up a Sargent Edged Tool.
I may look at certain Fiddleback forge Knives as well.

But that's it.
If you PM asking if I'm interested in a trade. And it isn't a Sargent Edged Tool or a Fiddleback. And you don't get a response. Well go back and read the first line in this Post.

Legal Stuff.
Must be over 18 hears of age and have legal right to own.

**Sales are Continental US only**
Unless otherwise discussed.
I will possibly ship out of the country. But I will not be responsible for anything after I get it to my Post Office and get a tracking/Customs number.
Additional shipping will apply.
Please do ask me to lie on the Customs forms.
Because I won't.

First Unconditional "I'll Take it" here in this thread will be given priority.
Followed by a timely PM requesting my Paypal information. And Prompt payment once Payment info is received. I see prompt as less than 12 hours. But we can discuss it if need be.

A PM saying "Questions Sent" is not an Unconditional "I'll take it"
You may still get the knife. But you may not. if someone else posts I'll take it.
Just trying to be fair!

Paypal preferred; Goods and Services.
USPS MO also acceptable. But I will wait until my bank says it's good before I ship. It may take me a day or two to get to the bank. And a few more for it to clear so factor that in.

I will eat the Paypal fees. So the price you see, is the price you Pay!
I ship USPS Priority Mail with Tracking #. And it will be well packed.

Today's Bark of the Week is a Scagel Medium Bowie.

It is a sunning piece. Probably the prettiest knife I own.

A2 steel, with amazing California Buckeye Burl.
Sold!

I am calling it extremely lightly used. I haven't used it, but it ain't new, so there ya go.

At the price listed. It is a hundred dollars less than I paid. I am the original owner and the knife was purchased when they first came out from KSF. Back around 2010.

Continued,

Specs,
In 1910, Bill Scagel began his career making knives. He didn’t know it, but he was beginning an entire industry of custom knives in the United States.

Now, 100 years later, his name graces a knife he would have been proud to make.

We took a classic handle design by Scagel himself and designed a strikingly beautiful Scagel knife. We worked hard to preserve Scagel’s classic touches while adding modern functionality.

These are some of the finest Scagel knives ever built. Thanks to Mike Stewart at Bark River for producing them for us.

  • Overall Length: 10.125"
  • Blade Length: 5.5 Inches
  • Blade Steel: A-2 @ 58rc
  • Blade Thickness: .217 Inch
  • Weight: 7.5 oz
  • Convex Ground
This sheath was designed especially for the project and adds a real touch of class to the whole package. Even the snap shouts, “Scagel!”
