FYI - the tang is stamped 7OT, which means the blade steel is U.S. Schrade's 1095 carbon steel. It's amazing stuff, but not stainless. I just wanted to clarify that before you sell it, and the blade takes on a patina or rust later. (The blade on my old 7OT is almost black now.)

Edited to add: never mind - bucksforus is right - I couldn't see the "+" after SCHRADE, until I copied & enlarged the pic. Sorry for the confusion, guys.

Beautiful example of a great knife, good luck with the sale.

I'll take your SCHRADE+ USA 70T Old Timer Cave Bear hunting knife & sheath. IF the sheath is in the same condition as your description as the 70T.
"Used condition is very good, almost mint;"
The sheath should be in original condition and near mint. Please let me know it's condition and I'll confirm by P.M.

Hello Tom,

Here is the picture of the sheath that I forgot to post the first time.

If I have time today I'll take a second picture of the back of the sheath and post it as well.

The sheath has been cared for with leather conditioners like Obenauf, so its color is darker than when brand new. It is as described. The knife and sheath were stored separately.

Best,
Distelfink

Distelfink, Thank you for your reply. The sheath looks well cared for...I also use Obenaufs Leather Treatment on all my user sheaths, great stuff. I'll take your word about the back of the sheath and I'll comment to buying it from you. Thank you for offering it. I have a fondness for hunter folders and this will be a nice addition to my little collection.

A P.M. to follow.

Thanks for the compliment orca8589. It really is a beautiful knife, and a functional design. It's market value seems to be on the rise.

Best,
