Hi Folks
It's been a big push, but working between Christmas orders I have finally finished off a few more Sgian Dubh Coruisks. Here is the first...
The blade is crafted in Böhler M390 stainless steel - a very high performance powder mettalurgy 'super' steel. This modern steel enables the lustrous satin sheen on the blade and has excellent corrosion resistance and edge retention.
The brass bolster is solid and not just a ferrule (metal band around the wood). Behind the bolster is a spacer of stabilized Maple burl. The handle center is luxurious Ebony and the pommel is stabilized Bog Oak that is between 2000 and 5000 years old and also features a decorative mosaic pin at the back. The handle pin has been peined, domed and polished to a satin finish with detailed filework on the spine.
The sheath is also 100% handmade with saddle stitching and Celtic knot toolwork to match the color and feel of the knife.
SPECIFICATIONS
€ SOLD
Also on my website: Sgian Dubh 'Coruisk' - Blue Maple Burl
Free DHL Express shipping worldwide (delivery normally within 1 week) for Bladeforum folks if ordered before Christmas - please use the promo code 'FREESHIPPING' on checkout.
Thanks for looking!
