Hi Folks
And here is the third and last Sgian Dubh fresh off the workbench...
This blade is crafted in beautiful Zladinox damascus (carbon steel) with 150 layers in a 'pyramid' pattern. It also has detailed filework on the spine.
The brass bolster is solid and not just a ferrule (metal band around the wood). Behind the bolster is a spacer of Elforyn - a grained, synthetic ivory. The handle center is African Blackwood and the pommel is beautifully figured Arizona Desert Ironwood and also features a decorative mosaic pin at the back. The handle pin has been peined, domed and polished to a satin finish.
The sheath is also 100% handmade with saddle stitching and Celtic cross toolwork to match the color and feel of the knife.
