Hi Folks
It's been a while since I have had a 'Coruisk' available... and this one is a bit special...
The heirloom quality Sgian Dubh 'Coruisk', features a long, slim blade in stainless steel damascus with a VG-10 core. It not only looks great, but also has fantastic performance and can be used in the field as a highly capable EDC or hunting knife. The blade also features detailed filework on the spine.
The bolster is solid Nickel Silver, and not just a ferrule (metal band around the wood). Behind the bolster is a spacer in Gabon Ebony. An exquisite handle center in Arizona Desert Ironwood burl with a peened, domed and satin finished Nickel Silver main pain. The pommel also in Gabon Ebony and features a mosaic pin.
The sheath is 100% handmade in-house with saddle stitching and Celtic knot toolwork to match the color and feel of the knife.
This 'Coruisk' is a real special Sgian Dubh to compliment a kilt outfit and can be proudly passed down to future generations.
Blade thickness: 3.2mm (0.125")
Blade length: 98mm (4")
Blade depth: 27mm (1.1")
Overall length: 202mm (8")
Weight: 98g (3.4oz)
Weight no sheath: 122g (4.4oz)
Handle material: Nickel Silver bolster, vulcanized fibre and Nickel Silver liners, Ebony spacer, Arizona Desert Ironwood handle centre and Ebony pommel.
Traditional hidden tang design with filework on the spine. Comes with a custom fitted sheath with toolwork.
