Condition: Original edge, stropped only...Excellent condition. There are a few VERY tiny marks on the titanium on the backside of the knife, but it is otherwise perfect. (see photos)
I purchased this knife at Recon 1. If you have any experience with factory state of Shiros.. the action sucks. Truly. Also, these knives are actually VERY difficult to work on as they have a non captured pivot and red locktite.
The pivot needs to be heated and the proper tools and skill are needed to service one of these "initially". Why it is like this on a knife at this price point I have no idea? I have expertly serviced this, cleaned it,
lubed(KPL light), it and reset the pivot at the perfect point of no blade-play and sublime action. I set the pivot with sparing amounts of blue locktite so that the knife can be serviced more easily in the future. The action
is easily 405x better than when I received the knife....so that is a benefit of buying this knife. It has incredible action for a blade this light. With the Blue Carbon Fiber this one is quite the lightweight beauty.
These are no longer available at Recon 1, so I would like to keep the price where it is. Thanks.
