Condition: There’s some light wear near the tip of the blade on both sides from cutting stuff, and a couple tiny scratches on the clip, but other than that it’s in top notch condition. Purchased this directly from Recon 1’s table at the California Custom Knife Show last weekend. The Quantum Ursus runs on single row bearings, so doesn’t have the same smoothness as a million-row-needle-bearing $2,000 Shiro, but it’s still quite good. Fantastic quality. Perfectly centered, great detent, great flipping action, rock solid lockup, even grind, sharp, and drops shut with a light shake. It would probably be even smoother if you added some oil, and will likely break in nicely.
I threw away the dinky little paper box it came in, but it will come in a velcro pouch along with the certificate of authenticity and cloth.
Price: $500 via PayPal friends and family or Venmo. (If you want to do PayPal G&S it would be $518.59 total.) Shipping via USPS priority mail. U.S. only. If you were to pay for this online from Recon 1, it would cost you at least $640 for residents of states with no sales tax (would be $699.38 for California residents).
