Greetings everyone! Here’s the last knife of 2020, a heavy duty utility blade ready for just about every chore.
.2” thick in 80CRV2 with professional HT at 60/61. Finished dimensions are 10 1/4” overall, 5 5/8” tip to guard and 1 3/4” tall at the harpoon. Hand sanded to 1200 grit for a clean satin finish.
Edge before sharpening .012” and it is quite sharp. Balance is on the narrow Ricasso. The deep swedge is also near sharp at .010” +\- down the full length.
The guard is blued steel, finished to 1200 grit. The coke bottle handle is dyed and stabilized red Jacaranda and stabilized Acacia in the back with yellowjacket G10 spacers and a 3/32” stainless pin. The inlays are red opalite.
