SOLD: Offering up my Skookum Bush Tool here before going to the Bushcraft Group.
O1 tool steel, Mark 1 version made by Rod Garcia. These earlier ones had a slightly different blade and handle profile / length than the newer releases. Rod no longer makes this original 2 rivet/pin model with the lanyard hole at the back. (up to 3 lanyard holes were an option on this version).
Blade is a true zero ground (no secondary bevel) scandi with the pointy tip. No micro tanto on these older ones (so do be careful with that tip!). Blade has been touched up over the years by stropping with the entire bevel resting on the hard strop to keep the zero grind.
Sheath is still firm from the original beeswax finish and I added an adjustable length leather neck carry strap. Dark red linen micarta scales. No damage, no issues, good sharp edge. Some light patina from use, a tarnish stain or two on the tang. 2 lanyard holes allowed knife to be tied to a stick like a spear or for extended reach.
