I recently set out to make a affordable tough EDC, came up with this. Its forged out of 3/8ths 1095fg "ALDO" steel, Hollow grinded on top and bottom, forge texture is left on the flats, sharp as all get out, clip is not sharpened but easily can be if your area allows it. Price shipped with a sheath is SOLD paypal, paypal address is c.edmondsonknives@yahoo.com. Got and questions please feel free to call me at 256 392 3499, thanks to all, Charlie, I also have 10 more of these coming soon so if you want one just let me know, thanks again!

Real NICE design ! And a Great price, I Hope one of these will still be around come Pay Day. EDC Perfection !

Love the rustic look. What is the very small groove near the choil for?

I believe the notch you're referring to is actually called the choil. Sometimes they're large enough to put a finger in but I think the actual purpose is to not leave a stress point in the metal. An engineer friend once told me that sharp angles in metal (like where the sharpened blade meets the unsharpened ricasso) can cause stress points and lead to micro fractures. Which will then lead to bigger fractures and eventually blade failure. A rounded area is physically able to handle the stresses much better than an angle.

The finger groove that one's index finger would rest in on this knife might also be considered a quillion.

Habaz72 you are right buddy, it also makes sharpening easier. That little area in front of the transition is hard to sharpen, the recess makes its easier. Thank all you guys for your nice words, I wish I had taken a pic of the spine, its tapers from 3/8ths thick at the very end, cool little banger
