This is an out-the-front assisted opener from Smith & Wesson (Model SWOTF2B) with a 3-inch black titanium-coated 4116 stainless steel plain-edge drop point blade. The black aluminum handle measures 4.7" and has a safety switch on the side of the handle with a second safety on the thumb-operated slide at the base of the blade. There is a tip-down pocket clip and the end of the handle features a glass-breaker tip. Weight is 3.8 oz.
To open, push the slide forward slightly and the spring-assisted opener takes over and locks the blade in the open position. The blade opens quickly and with authority. To close, pull back on the slide and the blade retracts into the handle and locks in the closed position.
Purchased new and never used, comes with the original box (slightly creased) and paperwork, including operating instructions. This knife has been discontinued and is hard to find in this condition.
