The Mass Drop Laconico Keen...Ray Laconico designed this knife. $125 PP firm.
PP G&S funds expected within one hour of "I'll take it" in the thread, with confirming PM to me...or I go to next fellow in line. CONUS only.
Mine is the bronze groove model. Solid lockup at 40% on the lockbar. Centering is not perfect; perhaps a pivot adjust...have not tried it. This knife has a heavy "positive" following
here in BF.
I have carried this knife for several months now, although I am long retired and my cutting needs are casual to the extreme: separating plastic from pop-cans in the 8-pack, or slicing some veggies on occasion...breaking down an Amazon box or two. It gets little use, but it's a winner.
I carry this Keen/Laconico EDC for the last four months or so, while my Spyderco Slysz Bowie and two CRK Sebenzas sit in the safe...it just slices better...
It works so well because the "behind-the-edge" measurement is about 0.016" and geometry is everything. The steel is S35VN and holds a great edge. I have NEVER sharpened this knife, but it will still slice quite nicely through Yellow Pages paper which is 0.002" thick.
I have never modified this knife, nor have I taken it apart. It just works, as Ray's knives are wonderful...as is his design...
My feedback is over 300 and 100% positive. If not as advertised, return it quickly, without damage, for rapid refund.
