I had asked some questions about her in a different thread I made. Here are some comments from a very knowledgable old school hog::

Thanks.

I too like the way it looks and feels.
Wondering if any of the old hogs can help me pin down some stuff about her.

Ive also seen some smooth bolt ones. and also some with one smooth bolt in the middle and slotted on either end. Any idea on why that is?

The Screws are Treated with Red Loctite and require Heat for Non Destructive dis-assembly.

Asym Ground, Partly Grooved Handle slabs, High Desert Low-Ride Sheath.

Manufacture say March to November 1999.

The Reason given by the Factory at the time for the occasional Smooth Bolt relates to the over all Length of the Bolt and the Thickness of the Handle slabs.

Thank you for the kind Words.

There are a few years Production that I know More than Most about.

I would like to see some of the old Tests done with the new Knives and at this time I am just too Cheap and too Lazy to do them my self.

Bear in Mind that Blanks from one time period would some times get Handle Slabs applied at a later date, so there are for instance One of Three Hundred Blanks(First year Production) Handled, Finished and Sold with Hole Type Fasteners(Last year of Production) like SHBM Presentation Grade #350.(Edited to add, I am Mistaken, #350 has Slotted Screws, My Memory was incorrect)
I will leave up what I wrote though, best for every one to know I too am Wrong sometimes.

Most of the First year Production knives that I saw were Symmetrically Ground and most others aside from Special Order were Asym(Presentation Grade seemed to come either way)

But there was an order to the Handle Slabs Starting with Smooth and ending with Diagonal CNC milling.

There was an order to the Sheath types until it was Clear that the High Desert Low Ride was preferred at which point that Sheath was less often used (Limited Number available) so that sheath is often a good indicator as to when the knife left the Shop.

Also Finish types seem to have an order But that is Variable in that Re-Furbishing by the Factory did occur Throughout Production.

It may seem like I am geared towards a straight sale. That is nice. However I am willing to entertain trades as well as I said in the opening post. A nice FFBM .32 (my current grail ) plus cash would mean I get a grail and some money towards bills. IF I get a trade offer on some blades I think will sell and not keep, that is ok as well. I Will have a few weeks to sell them off as it is 3 weeks from now when money will be the tightest. That last option gives someone that wants a SHBM but cant afford one to chance to trade for one.

So like I said I am reasonable. Cash...Cash + knife...Knife / knives....I will entertain any reasonable offers.

And in honor of Havoc... I shall take a few more pictures...... AFK a few while I snap some fresh shots.

Yay my internet and or computer crapped out over an hour ago and is still down.

Yay smartphones.

Answer to a few questions Ive had.

The knife is INFI.
The knife is unused.
10 in handle to tip.
9 in sharp edge choil to tip.
Users are ok in trade and trade / cash offers.

thx,

Rob

The knife is still available as of right now.

Somthing I find kinda funny. No offers yet including my grail, a FFBM .32.
Guess me and the Mistress arent meant to be. No matter, more money for bills this way lol.

Rob

Thanks for looking everyone.

The knife is moving on to a new home. I will close this down once the payment has been received.

Congrats on the sale. Now, can you post a few more pics?

Anything for you ( youdirtylittlesoshandlelover! lol ).

Here you go :

These are the knives I traded for the SHBM a few months ago. I traded the NMSFNO and the SFNO variant. I still own the SARGE-7 LE , her Hoggess number is 769.
