This is a new custom made self-defense Spike Knife tool made by me, Oklahoma knife and tool maker Bill Goodwin. Unused in its present condition. Hand ground tip. It is based on the design and function of the yawara, an ancient Japanese fighting/self-defense weapon. Handmade from 19th century hardened tool steel. Steel shows age and previous use. Has some original patina. Measures 8 1/4" total length, not including the solid brass ring. The tool is solid steel. The steel measures 6 1/16". The original maker mark reads, "F. DICK" with the reverse arrow stamp over, "MADE IN GERMANY". It is etched with my maker mark, "BG". The original solid brass handle measures 2 3/16", not including the brass ring. The brass shows age and lots of previous use. Has some original patina but has been polished. The tool weighs 8.6 ounces total weight. Comes with a custom wet-formed leather slip sheath. The sheath is dyed saddle tan and hand sewn with blue nylon thread. Great defense tool in an emergency situation. Perfect for carrying in a boot, backpack, glove-box, purse or handbag.
