Calypso Jr with box (SOLD)
I think this is the first time in two years since one of these has come up for sale here so it is kinda under the radar and many spydie collectors have never held one in person. If you ever had one or three of these then you know there was always something correct about this design. I am the second owner, the original owner said he cleaned off some tiny oxidation spots and never carried it, neither did I. I stored it for years in my safe with the blade oiled, there are still some small staining spots on the blade. It is hard to photograph this steel is very bright. I was interested to see what it would become after oxidizing with fruit or acid but I never got around to try it so I am letting it go. It has a wonderful feel in the hand, grippy fish scales and super light, only 1.9 0z. I will add a pic of it sandwiched with Natives for size and shape context, the more forward position of the back lock works better than a native one-handed. If blade centering is your thing, this one might not be the one for you, its a smidge off-center. It will arrive lightly oiled in its box. There is not another steel that sharpens like this one, show it respect, it will cut you if you are careless. "I have a doubt" about offering this one for sale
