Description/condition: This one has a regrind by Josh of Razor Edge Knives (REK), and a “zero” edge by Zero Edge Knives. 3D titanium clip from Ripp’s Garage Tech. Like many Mantras this one initially had an issue with cupped washers. Spyderco sent me new washers and bearings which are installed. I haven’t opened the knife up since installing them to check for cupping, but the knife is much smoother than it used to be so I assume everything is fine inside.
Good centering, smooth, solid lockup, nice and sharp. Like most Spyderco flippers, the detent isn’t super strong on this but it’s not hard to flip consistently if you know how. The detent is definitely strong enough to keep the blade firmly in place; it will not shake open.
There are plenty of scratches from use, and stains on the M4. This knife is meant to be used, and cuts through stuff like a laser! Does not come with box or papers or original clip, just the knife as pictured.
