For Sale is a rare Spyderco Rookie Spyderedge C51. This is an even more rare early model with linerless G10 scales. The blade steel is ATS-55 with a beautiful serrated hollow saber grind.
This Rookie still has the factory edge. It appears to never have been used to cut. The blade is flawless except for a small spot of oxidation on the show-side kick (see pics). The handle scales are also in perfect, like-new condition. There is very minor wear on the end of the pocket clip. I do not have the original box, but it will ship in a zippered and padded taco case.
These knives were only produced for 2 years, from 1998 to 1999. The very early ones, like this one, were linerless. They then went to a single liner design. The Rookie was a designed as a smaller version of the C07 Police. It is essentially a shrunken version. The blade is a hair over 3" and OAL is 6.75". The size is similar to a Delica, but with a longer blade and shorter handle.
