How I snapped the blade: I was helping butcher a 150+ pound side of beef. I tried to slide the entire slab across the table, grabbed the knife handle to help slide it and snapped the blade.

I did and they told me 1) they cannot repair the blade since it was manufactured outside of the U.S. and 2) It was not covered under their warranty. They offered me a 45% discount on anything in their catalog. Even with the 45% discount, current pricing was still lower.
