This came to me installed on an xm, it was mounted on top of the filler tab since the mounting area is not shaped to fit inside the milled out clip area like usual so not sure this is actually designed for an xm but the holes do line up and it functions no problem, no tapping etc. Sorry I just have zero experience with Steel Flame products.
